The Davenport Police Department invites community members to join them for Coffee with a Cop. The event held at five different Hy-Vee locations in Davenport from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. will include the opportunity for residents to join them for coffee and conversation.

“We want our officers to connect with the residents in our community,” said Sergeant Andrew Harris, Community Impact Team Supervisor. “It’s about having conversations and interacting with our neighbors in meaningful ways, outside of a call for service. We want to have a chance to talk about topics that they find interesting or have questions about.”

The mission of Coffee with a Cop, a national program, is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve and allow the opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in their neighborhood.

Hy-Vee will be hosting the Coffee with a Cop events in partnership with the Davenport Police Department. The dates and locations for the future events are:

Thursday, March 24 – Utica Ridge Hy-Vee located at 4064 E 53rd St
Thursday, April 7 – East Kimberly Hy-Vee located at 1823 E Kimberly Rd
Thursday, April 28– West Kimberly Hy-Vee located at 2200 W Kimberly Rd
Thursday, May 5 - Locust Street Hy-Vee located at 2351 W Locust St
Thursday, May 12 - Rockingham Road Hy-Vee located at 3019 Rockingham Rd
