Are you and your dog up for the challenge? This pet-friendly non-competitive walk allows you and your canine to stroll your favorite trail of Davenport before sauntering your way onto other trails in the city. Due to trail closures related to the Quiet Zone Project, participants are encouraged to select a preferred open trail route for this year’s Tails & Trails Walk. 

 Participants may sign up online in advance or visit The River’s Edge to join the Tails & Trails Club and begin tracking the miles you and your pup complete on Davenport’s trails before we meet again at the Santa Paws Walk in December.

No time limit applies, so walkers can take as long as they wish to complete the walk. Participants only need to mind the event hours if they plan to stop at The River's Edge, if they wish to enroll in the Tails & Trails Club.

Register at the Tails & Trails Walk or online. Download the checklist. Look up trails, monitor your progress, earn badges, and even keep track of your accomplishments on qctrails.org. No time limit applies, so walkers can take as long as they wish to complete walks. Walk 20 of the 34 participating parks from the checklist to earn your bragging-rights. Complete your checklist at the Santa Paws Walk in December for a certificate of completion the opportunity for additional prizes. Email in your checklist to [email protected] to receive a certificate of completion.

Tails and Trails Checklist

Get a wiggle on for a fun at the Giddy-up Bike and Hike! Join us as we walking, running, pedal, and more along the Riverfront Recreation Trail in downtown Davenport on Sunday, May 17 from 9a.m. to noon. This enthusiastic event takes place along the Mississippi River, where participants will don their most creative version of the Duttons, Clampetts, Ewings, etc. 

Gather along with fellow enthusiasts for a entertaining-filled day of laughter and merriment spirit. Participants are encouraged to decorate your ride and embrace the festive atmosphere as you explore the scenic route along Davenport. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual walker, this event promises to be a delightful experience for all ages. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled celebration—mark your calendar and prepare for a hilariously good time! This is a pet-friendly event, so we encourage you to bring your pets (leashed) out on the trails too! This event is free, and no registration is required.

During public skate, enjoy local favorites at the concessions and make fun crafts with the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities all before heading to the ballpark to take in a baseball game. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team attire.
