60th Anniversary

Staying the Course: Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Davenport Civil Rights Commission

July 5, 2022 marks the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the Davenport Civil Rights Commission. 

This year we are honoring the history and work of the Commission by holding a conference to further the mission of the Commission: Staying the Course to ensure the elimination of discrimination in Davenport. 

Attendees will be able to hear from experts in the academic, social welfare, and legal fields on topics relating to Fair Housing, Social Justice, Discrimination, and much more. In-Person and Virtual Attendance will be possible, and CLE’s and CEU’s will be offered to attendees.

Mississippi Hall is where the introduction and keynotes will take place, and it is where food will be served. Food is provided for both breakfast and lunch. Lunch is buffet style, and both meals are provided by an in-house chef at the RiverCenter.
