Before and After

(February 11, 2026) The City of Davenport is excited to announce the latest round of homeowners to be awarded money through the Davenport DREAM Project. The City received 285 applications for $1.2 million in available funding. The City tentatively approved 41 projects for current homeowners and eight new homeowner projects to receive DREAM funding awards. City staff contacted all recipients for initial consultation on their projects as the first step.

Applications for the seventh round of funding opened in August. Since 2019, the Davenport DREAM Project has awarded nearly $6.8 million to revitalize 252 properties in the City’s heritage neighborhoods.

“We love seeing the before and after pictures when these meaningful projects are completed,” said Bruce Berger, Community & Economic Development Director. “Even better is seeing the pride people have in their homes and neighborhoods because of these improvements.”

Coming later this year, the DREAM Project area is set to expand. In September 2025, the Davenport City Council approved a motion to expand the eligible area into the Ridgeview East and Central East neighborhoods. This expansion could add 16 more projects, including up to five projects for new homeowners. Pending approval of the FY 2027 budget, the applications for Round 8 of the DREAM Project will open in summer 2026.
