Glow Public Skates@ Rivers Edge (NEW)

Join us for Glow Skate Night and get ready to light up the rink! We hope to see you all for another night of skating fun. Each paid admission gets a glow necklace and 2 bracelets. Additional glow items will be available for purchase at Concessions.

Mascot Skate

The River’s Edge is hosting area special guests from around the area. During public skate, enjoy local favorites at the concessions, get selfies with area mascots, and make fun crafts with the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team attire.

Chili Open Golf Classic '26

The Chili Open Golf Classic is back! This event is perfect to get back to the golf course and improve your golf game. Make sure to book a tee time!

Bunny Skate

The River’s Edge is hosting a special guest just in time for the holiday. Bunny Skate during public skate, enjoy holiday treats at concessions, egg hunt, and make fun holiday crafts with the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday attire (e.g., fancy holiday sweater, fun scarves and mittens, headbands or themed costume).

Kites on the River

Celebrate National Kite Month by flying your kite high in the Davenport sky at Centennial Park along the Mighty Mississippi. Our scenic riverfront park provide the perfect setting for outdoor adventures! Experience the freedom of flight while keeping your feet on the ground—like a bird soaring with the wind, your kite dancing above as you hold the string tight. Let it climb to the highest heights, gliding through the clear atmosphere, making you feel lighter than air. Drift with the breeze over rooftops and trees, enjoying the thrill of the moment. Kite enthusiast can compete in categories like best-designed kite, largest kite, and highest flying kite. There will also be a kite making workshop for those who want to design and build their own kites to fly during the event.

Movie in the Park

Back by popular demand - Davenport Parks and Recreation are excited to present FREE Movies in the Park! Grab your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic to enjoy a family-friendly evening under the stars. Would you rather stay in your car? No problem this movie is being presented drive-in style. Food sales and free activities will begin at 7PM; movie begins at sunset.

In the event of rain, the event will be canceled. Cancellations will be made by 3pm, the day of the movie. Please continue to check our RainOut Line website and Facebook for updates.

Giddy-up Bike and Hike

Get a wiggle on for a fun at the Giddy-up Bike and Hike! Join us as we walking, running, pedal, and more along the Riverfront Recreation Trail in downtown Davenport on Sunday, May 17 from 9a.m. to noon. This enthusiastic event takes place along the Mississippi River, where participants will don their most creative version of the Duttons, Clampetts, Ewings, etc.

Gather along with fellow enthusiasts for a entertaining-filled day of laughter and merriment spirit. Participants are encouraged to decorate your ride and embrace the festive atmosphere as you explore the scenic route along Davenport. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual walker, this event promises to be a delightful experience for all ages. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled celebration—mark your calendar and prepare for a hilariously good time! This is a pet-friendly event, so we encourage you to bring your pets (leashed) out on the trails too! This event is free, and no registration is required.

Community Egg Hunt
We hope you're egg-cited for the City of Davenport's Community Wide Egg Hunt! Grab a basket and head on down to Vander Veer Botanical Park to collect some eggs filled with goodies.

Party in the Park

Join the City of Davenport this summer for Party in the Park! The two-hour events run from 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. on select Thursdays throughout the summer.

Party in the Park attendees can enjoy food, entertainment, and a variety of activities for the kids! These events are a great opportunity to meet fellow residents, learn more about surrounding neighborhoods, and engage with local elected officials. Members from city staff will be in attendance to discuss concerns and opportunities facing the community and how to can get involved in your neighborhood.
