Mudjacking Program

Picture of mudjacking being performedThrough the mudjacking program, we are able to correct uneven concrete surfaces, reduce hazards and extend pavement life.

Mudjacking is performed by Street Maintenance crews when uneven concrete, or voids under concrete are identified and mudjacking is determined to be an appropriate repair.  Through the mudjacking process, an uneven concrete slab is lifted by injecting a grout type of material through the concrete, under the slab, effectively pushing it up from below.

Streets identified for repair under this program are prioritized based on the significance of the void under the concrete, associated hazards due to fall, and the potential for damage to other underground infrastructure.
