Zoning

The Zoning Ordinance is a critical implementation tool of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, which is used to guide development and redevelopment in the City. The Zoning Ordinance itself contains specific rules for development while the companion Zoning Map lays out zoning “districts” that outline specific land uses, densities and design criteria for specific locations.

Changes to the Zoning Ordinance and map (rezonings) can only be accomplished through an open process by the Plan and Zoning Commission and City Council.

The Zoning Ordinance can be found under Section 17 of the Davenport City Code.
