A Public Hearing will be held on the Ordinance amending ward and precinct boundaries established from last year’s Census and Council will discuss first consideration of the Ordinance. The boundaries reflect the underlying state law criteria including contiguousness, compactness, and following state legislative boundaries. City GIS staff has done a great job implementing these nonpartisan rules to move the least amount of voters and maintain compact wards.

The Davenport Fire Department is proud to participate in this year’s Sound the Alarm campaign event April 8 through May 8. The American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that do not have them, and by educating people about home fire safety. This is the third year of partnering with the Quad Cities American Red Cross in the Sound the Alarm Program.
