Council will consider an amendment to Palmer College of Chiropractic’s 2018 rezoning that would allow for the addition of 115 units for student housing. This new project will replace the previously proposed student housing along Main Street between 7th and 8th Streets.

            Council will consider a Resolution of agreement and support for River Action’s state and/or federal grant application related to the construction of First Bridge, a pedestrian bridge, over River Drive to River Heritage Park. River Action is seeking grant funding to construct a 254-foot pedestrian bridge spanning River Drive beginning at the original embankment at Federal Street and River Drive of the first railroad bridge to cross the Mississippi River and terminating at River Heritage Park.

            As required by State law, Council will set a Public Hearing on the FY 2022 Operating Budget, FY 2022 Capital Improvement Budget, and the FY 2022 – FY 2027 Capital Improvement Program before formally adopting the annual budget. Adoption of the Resolution will set the Public Hearing on March 17, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall during the Committee of the Whole meeting.
